Riga Old Town
The Old Town is the oldest section of Riga as well as the center of the city. It is the city’s most popular area with tourists. In 1997, Riga's historic center was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The Old Town has highly diverse architecture, and the majority of buildings have the status of a cultural monument. The city's architecture represents various periods - Romanticism, Gothic, Baroque, Classicism, and Modernism.
Riga Zoo
Riga Zoo (Riga Zoological Park) was opened in Riga's greenest district Mežaparks in 1912. During dozens of years, its collection was significantly supplemented, and now you'll meet there many interesting animals like tigers, bears, giraffes, kangaroos and coatis, visit the Tropical House and explore the underwater world. This is a great leisure site for adults and children since it is located by Lake Ķīšezers and surrounded by pine-trees.
LIDO Leisure Centre
The LIDO Recreation Centre offers a rich menu consisting both of national dishes cooked according to ancient Latvian recipes, and dishes of other nationalities. Dishes are made from natural and healthy products delivered by local producers.
The building has been constructed of specially selected, more than 100 years old Latvian fir-trees. Almost 5 hectares large territory of the Centre with the spacious catering complex, parking lot for visitors and the Amusement Park is carefully greened and decorated.
